Default Need help w dmg calc

Hi, i've been looking to buy somewhat more expensive daggers for my Dervish (yup), but im not sure if i want to customize those.

While i understand that 20% dmg bonus is huge for weapons such as scythe for instance, i was wondering how much effect it has while using 7-17dmg daggers? As i have no customized daggers atm (not even collectors), is there anyone who could perhaps provide me with rough numbers, done on let's say dummies on Isle of Nameless? IE customized vs non-customized daggers, on 60 and 80 armor. All other bonuses are there; 15% inherent dmg from a weapon.. and also the dmg difference while using attack skills (because then dmg difference is gonna be smaller i think, compared to auto-attack).

I dont intend to use those in GvG, just casual RA and stuff like that. Im not concerned much with PvE though. The reason im making this note is that i know every bit of dmg/health helps in high-end pvp, but it's not like im focused on that, nor do i think i'd use the build there

Try it yourself? Make a pvp char, give the daggers, test. Make PvP equivalent ( therefor customized ),test again and see the differences yourself.

It would really only add about 2-3 damage, which is why I never customize my daggers No weapon mods apply to Attack Skill damage.

Yeah but we're talking PvP here. PvP without damage maximization is like hardcore UW farming without picking up the loot.

Nah, i use home-made overpowered builds so it evens out

Ok the results were quite interesting. If i just autoattack, the customized daggers have a normal bonus.

If, however, i use attack skills along with autoattack (while attack skills are recharging), then the difference is almost none. Yes that's right. Uncustomized daggers kill 80armor dummie in cca19 hits, and customized in cca18 hits.

That's because the damage bonus only applies to base damage. As amount of attack skill bonus damage increases, the percentage of your damage coming from that extra customization decreases.

1s is quite a bit though. Long enough for your target to be healed. Long enough for you to die. Plus, if you don't customize, and happen to drop your target to 2hp, you'll feel really stupid.

lol Yanman..

And requiem - i know the % bonus doesnt apply to added dmg, and that added dmg is always armor ignoring (for instance, Brutal Strike). Still, it's quite interesting to note that 20% customized with attack skills means little on daggers. I do agree that every bit of dmg/health helps though.
